Having fun at Zao is one of our values. We’ve put limited animated flourishes throughout our site to communicate our love of levity. We also recognize that onscreen movement is not fun or possible for everyone. We've turned off all our animations for you per your browser's request to limit motion. That said, we don't want you to miss out on the party.

Here's a funny joke to enjoy!

Where does the General keep his armies?

In his sleevies!

Yo #BeachPress, what’s your favorite…

We’re going food shopping for BeachPress later next week and we’d like your input!  You guys are all pretty easy with regards to allergies and strong dislikes and things of that nature.  But now, we don’t want to know what you don’t like – we want to know what you love.

What’s your favorite kind of coffee?  Tea?  What about your favorite beer or wine?  A certain snack that you can’t live without?  Please, let us know in the comments – we’re going to buy a ton of food, might as well make some of it something you’ll go nuts for.

So hurry up, don’t be shy.  Leave a note and let us know what to buy.

Whoa.  That rhymed.

  1. I, for one, am digging on Three Twins organic ice cream. And Guinness, which is by far the best of all beers.

  2. Beer: After visiting Portland in April, I’m pretty partial to Deschutes River Ale and Black Butte Porter. Also, my mainstay is Odell’s Easy Street Wheat.

Snacks: I’ve been on a fresh fruits and vegetables kick for a while so that pretty much covers it.

Other: I generally drink Diet Pepsi more than I should but since I don’t drink coffee, it’s my primary source of caffeine.

  3. Coconut Bliss is an excellent dairy-free alternative to ice cream.

I second the fruits & veggies. A big jar of peanut butter to go with apples, celery, etc. would be awesome.

  4. Non-IPA beers :S. Bleah :P. Big fan of Red Wines also. Only the good kind…..just sayin. And scotch. Love me some scotch. Lagavulin and Macallen are the current favs there.

During my lucid moments I drink lots of teas. Pretty much anything goes there.

I am pretty easy on foods, not fond of mushrooms or coconut. For everything else I am trying to expand my palate so I am down with whatever. Meat is always the best option though 😉

/me contemplates bringing his desk fish buddy

  5. Coffee! Please let there be lots of coffee and vanilla coffee creamer 🙂 gold fish are always yummy snacks, lots of fruit and veggies would be awesome too. Both red and white wine are great.
